Formatting FirstClass content

You'll see edit buttons when you are adding content to objects such as a message, calendar event, or community post. The object you are editing determines which buttons you'll see.

This button Does this
Paste Copies the clipboard content to the cursor location.
Paste as Plain Text Copies the clipboard content to the cursor location as unformatted text.

This is useful when copying text from a document created with a Microsoft application, where you don't want to carry over any of the Microsoft formatting.
Paste from Word Copies formatted Microsoft content from the clipboard to the cursor location.

This is useful when copying text from a document created with a Microsoft application (not just Word), where you only want to carry over a minimal, clean set of HTML formatting code. Some formatting may be lost.
Undo Cancels your latest editing action.

You may need to select this several times to get back to where you want.
Redo Reinstates your latest editing action.

Image Inserts an image that is located on the Internet by pointing to its location (URL). Specify the image and how you want it to look in the image properties form.

After you insert the image, you can change its properties by right-clickingtapping it and choosing Image Properties. Depending on your device, you may also be able to drag the image's resizing handles to change its size.

If you decide you don't want the image after inserting it, you can select it and presschoose Delete.
Table Inserts a table. Define your table in the table properties form.

After you insert the table, you can change its properties by right-clickingtapping it and choosing Table Properties. You can also use this menu to perform standard table operations like inserting rows and merging columns. Depending on your device, you may also be able to drag the table's resizing handles to change its size.
Insert Horizontal Line Inserts a horizontal line.
Insert Image from File Inserts an image from a file that is on your device. Browse for and select the file. As a shortcut, you can drag the file to your content.

After you insert the image, you can change its properties by right-clickingtapping it and choosing Image Properties. Depending on your device, you may also be able to drag the image's resizing handles to change its size.

If you decide you don't want the image after inserting it, you can select it and presschoose Delete.
Embed Media Inserts HTML media content that is located on the Internet.

Copy the HTML from the appropriate place on the website (for example, the "embed" function on YouTube or Flickr).
Link Inserts a link. Define your link in the link form.
Unlink Removes the link from the selected content.
Maximize Just displays the object's content and edit toolbars. To return to normal view, select this button again.
Show Blocks Indicates separate block elements, such as paragraphs and tables. To return to normal view, select this button again.
Source Shows your content with its behind-the-scenes HTML tags. To return to normal view, select this button again.
Signature Adds a signature that you have created in your preferences to the bottom of the body. Choose the signature you want.
Bold Makes the selected text bold.
Italic Makes the selected text italic.
Underline Underlines the selected text.
Strike Through Draws a line through the middle of the selected text, making it look like it's crossed out.
Remove Format Restores selected formatted text to the default.
Block Quote Formats the selected paragraph as a quote by indenting it. When you start a new paragraph, it's also indented. To remove quote formatting from a selected paragraph, select this button again.

You can also turn on or off quote formatting before typing the paragraph you want formatted.
Insert/Remove Numbered List Makes the selected paragraph numbered.

The first paragraph that you make numbered starts with 1. When you start a new paragraph, it's numbered 2. To remove number formatting from a selected paragraph, select this button again. Any numbered paragraphs that follow will then start again at 1.
Insert/Remove Bulleted List Makes the selected paragraph bulleted.

When you start a new paragraph, it's also bulleted. To remove bullet formatting for a selected paragaph, select this button again.
Decrease Indent Decreases the left margin of the selected paragraph.
Increase Indent Increases the left margin of the selected paragraph.
Align Left Aligns the selected paragraph with the left margin.
Center Centers the selected paragraph between the margins.
Align Right Aligns the selected paragraph with the right margin.
Justify Aligns the selected paragraph with both the left and right margins.
Text Color Applies the color you choose from the popup color palette to the selected text.
Background Color Highlights text you have selected with the color you choose from the popup color palette.
Paragraph Format Applies a preset style, such as Heading 1, to the selected paragraph.
Font Displays the selected text in the font you choose here.
Size Displays the selected text in the size you choose here.

You can also embed links to objects on your server (posts, files, wiki pages, and so on) in your content. To do this, navigate to the object, then drag it to your content.
