What you can do in others' blogs
Your profile contains your picture, plus personal and contact information that gives others a snapshot of who you are and how to get in touch with you. You can also maintain a blog in your profile that gives even more information about your interests and experience.
FirstClass is all about people working together, so filling in your profile is key.
To open your profile, choose My Profile from the application menu, or tap the People icon on the toolbar, then choose My Profile. You will first see your blog, with a Blog section title at the top that provides access to your blog, a list of who is following you, and your profile.
To open someone else's profile, tap their picture wherever you see it as a sender (for example, in a list of messages). You will see just their profile.
To see their full profile, including their blog, choose Open Profile from their menu in your people list, the Pulse, or a list of Directory name matches.
When you first use FirstClass, you'll see a generic placeholder picture representing you.
To update your profile, open it, then tap the Edit button.
To update your picture with any picture on your device that is in one of the common graphics file formats, tap Change Picture, then follow the prompts to browse for and select the file (or take a picture), crop it to remove any unwanted elements, and upload it. The picture will be automatically sized to fit the profile picture space.
To see a list of everyone who is following you, cycle to Followed by at the top of your profile.
A blog is a personal collection of dated entries in chronological order, like diary entries, that you create on any topics you want.
To create a blog entry, choose New Blog Entry from the blog's menu, supply a blog title, then enter and format its content.
Tags are keywords that people can search on. Separate each keyword with a space.
To update an existing blog entry, open it, then tap the Edit button.
When you use the Done button, you are asked what you want to do with the blog entry. The options you see depend on the entry status. New and draft entries give you the option to publish, save as draft, or delete the entry. Publish saves the entry and displays it for everyone to see in your blog. Save as Draft saves the entry as a draft, making it visible only to you. Published entries give you the option to save or discard your updates
You can use the menu of someone else's blog entry in select mode to do the following:
| This action | Does this |
|---|---|
| Comment | Lets you respond to an entry. Type and format your response, then tap Post. |
| History | Shows previous activity for this entry. |

| Properties | Shows additional details for this entry. |
| Watch | Monitors this entry for any new activity. The entry is added to your watched items list. |
| Share | Creates a new message with a link to the blog entry in the body, so you can share this blog entry with someone else. |
